Photo Blog tag!
My bud Mindy Blodgett photo tagged me- I guess that is the name of it. You have to go to the fourth folder of your pictures and pull out the fourth picture and tell about it. So like a good girl I did this for you Mindles! I was excited that my fourth folder was a compilation of older pics. from 07. THis is a candy graham that ali and I made for Fro to tell him I was PREGO with Cam. It became a tradition when me and my sister Brooke made one for him the first time I was pregnant. SO Ali and I thougt this would be a great way to break the news! Fro is always suprised and the Candy is just an added perk to help him cope with the news- It works great! However now anytime fro sees a candy graham he is going to ASSUME............
Now I will tag-- Lindsay, Tracie, Hollie, CHed Head, and Sarah Jane
Cheesecake Factory vs. Texas Roadhouse
Yesterday I had the opportunity to go to the FAMOUS Cheesecake Factory. I had never been before so I was super excited! For the past year I have grown to LOVE Texas Roadhouse so much that I thought it might be up for a little competition to see if the Cheesecake factory would become my new favorite restraunt. I asked a few people what is good, and always told everything is good- so there was quite a bit of food anticipation on my part! We decided to go a little early because they don't take reservations (which they told me they do Monday thru Thursday) and good thing we did. Even on a monday night it got busy by 6:00. I ordered the most popular chicken dish- Chicken Madeira. It was recommended by a friend, and on the menu it is "the most popular chicken dish" so I decided to give it a try. Ali ordered their kids Mac and Cheese, and lets just say when I got my food I honestly wanted hers. Her Mac and Cheese was DElicious! The Chicken Madeira was okay, but it had a mushroom sauce that i didn't care for too much. The one thing that sold me on the cheesecake factory was it's name-- They have AWESOME cheesecake--YUMMY YUMMY! I would go back again many times for the cheesecake.
If you haven't ever been - GO- but if you haven't been to Texas Roadhouse- it is STILL MY FAVORITE! They have the best rolls and honey butter EVER! Their food is priced better also. Just be careful of the waiters at Texas Roadhouse- one (GUY) was hitting on Fro the whole time and my friends all got free meals because their waiter was rude. You have to call an hour before you go, and they will seat you right when you get there-( not many people know that trick.) But all in all , I still list it as my favorite!

Is this how it is supposed to be?
I love General Conference for SO many reasons. Every conference I reminisce with Ali about what General Conference was like for me when I grew up. It usually involved some kind of craft my mom would get for us to paint, or a book my mom would put togeather to entertain us for at least half the conference. And one thing it seems like it always consisted of was my dad polishing all of his church shoes. And don't forget- it's a day off from church!
Well every conference I record all of my thoughts from conference in it, and i started doing it back in 1999. It actually is a coincidence because I started it right before I met Fro, so it is fun to look back and remember all the past conferences that I recorded. I noticed however that back in 1999 and for several years after that I have a lot of entries and every speaker is listed. I looked back and noticed a pattern. Ever since 2003 (which was when Ali was born) there are fewer and fewer notes written. Each conference has less and less notes written. I then realized that my conference days of pages of notes may be over- Children are a great distration. So all those memories of conferences growing up reminded me of so many things, but they definately didn't include this years conference of .................................
DROOL, and Dress-Ups!
Cam and ali at the beginning of Conference
(Cam is also sitting up by himself for the first time)
Cam towards the end of conference ( not even the end of the first session!) -
Look at how drenched his shirt is! He Drools like a maniac!
He gets that from his dad!

Ali was way past the coloring packet and moved onto being a "Queen"
And then she made me her Queen, Fro a King with a crown and all,
and Cam her little Prince.

Pappa
My dad just got on my blog yesterday and felt a little left out! He was suprised that I didn't have one pictue of my most favorite person in the world. So this is for my favorite person in the world, my dad. He tells me almost daily that I am his favorite, so it is only fair that he is labled my favorite person.
A few years ago when my dad turned 60 I wrote up "60 things I love about him," and it honestly was so easy. He is the greatest dad anyone could ask for and he has taught me so much. The greatest gift my dad has given me is his example of love for my mom. They truly are the greatest examples of best friends. I have never seen them fight, (except when my dad gives something of my moms away to the DI!), and I only hope that Fro and I can have as much love as they do after all these years. Thanks for the love Pappa your the Best!

New and Improved!
All my life i have always been told, " You look just like your mom." I would get stopped places by people i have never met, or seen, and even on occassion guys my mom had dated- back in the day- and it was always the same question, "are you related to Shauna ?" So needless to say i got very used to hearing that i was my moms "carbon copy", or i was "mini shauna", or as my mom always said, i was the "New and improved version."
Well Ali has a few similarities of me and her grandma sunny, and people have pointed them out, but i didn't want to always make her feel like she looked like me, i wanted her to just be her. So yesterday as i was doing her hair, she said "will you do it curly so it could be like yours?". So I did it curly and let her go look in the mirror. As she walked into the bathroom she said, " Oh mom I look just like you- i LOVE it!" It made me feel so good to know that RIGHT Now she doesn't mind looking like me. So here is to Grandma Sunny for passing on some pretty good genes! We love you Sunny!
This is when she said, "I look just like you mom- I love it!"

Can I blame Ali?
Cam just recently found his voice. He doesn't just sqeek or baby babble, it is a full fledged SQWAK! And i think it is getting louder and louder everyday. Well the other day i was trying to get a few things done, and he was sqwaking and sqwaking louder and louder. He was eyeing everything i had eaten and was wanting everything i ate. So finally i broke down and grabbed the first thing i could think of that would occupy his little sqwaking for a few minutes. So i grabbed LICORICE!- Is that BAD? He seemed to enjoy it. I figured that he as been eating baby food a good solid month now so what could a little sugar do to his system!
I am still figuring out this blogging thing and i think i needed to rotate the picture before downloading- oops- Enjoy a side profile!
