A few things going on at our house.....
Cam is always keeping things exciting by his never ending curiosity of everything. He found these swim goggles and wanted to wear them everywhere. He is so dang cute!!
Ali had crazy hair day at school, she wanted really crazy hair, so what did she get- really crazy hair!!
I know that schools plan activity days to make school fun, and white ribbon week is no exception. They do the crazy hair day, crazy clothes day, but I decided it just makes parents CRAZY trying to make sure thier kids look good, but crazy, but cute, but not embarassing, but warm, but comfortable, but crazy enough to stand out, but not to crazy!! It was maddening coming up with just the right outfit. I actually think she looks cute, but in her eyes-- she is all CRAZY!!!

My Klepto Problem!!
Recently one of the doctors I work with keeps pointing out I am a klepto!! He says it jokingly because I constantly am picking up after him and grabbing his pens. We always just laughed about it until now!!!! Yesterday I ran out to do a little shopping at Old Navy and was trying on some clothes and decided I loved a certain shirt but it wasn't exactly the size i wanted. I went out to see if they had it in my size and they didn't. I looked over what I wanted to purchase and headed up to the register. As I proceeded to check out the lady asked if I found everything okay. I told her i did. Then she commented on some of the tanks I was buying and how cute they were. I told her there was a black one I really wanted and loved but not in my size. She continued to tell me she would call around and find it in my size and I told her not to worry about it. After I was done and paid, I went out to the car. As I was driving away I glanced down and realized i was WEARING the very shirt we were talking about. I stopped the car and started freaking out!! I had just had an entire conversation with the lady about this very shirt and now I am guiltily wearing it!! I knew i needed to return it but in the moment of panic I couldn't think what to do. I just started laughing. I called fro and he was no help, he just told me to do what i thought was right. I didn't know what was right. I couldn't imagine walking back into the store carrying the shirt. Luckily I had my shade shirt underneath so i stilll had a shirt on, but I knew it could be really embarrassing and make me look even worse because I spent all that time talking about the very shirt I stole!! I did the only thing I could think of......... I called my "Pure" sister brittany and told her the situation!! After some laughter and more laughter she told me i had to take it back. I kept thinking i should just throw it away when i got home it would be easier than the embarrasment. She told me to just walk it back into the store and it would be fine. I made her stay on the phone with me as i walked into the store so I would look pre-occupied so no one would approach me. As I walked in I tried not to make any eye contact with anyone, but there were many people around that I am sure I looked really weird bringing a shirt BACK into the store and laying it down and flying out of the store!! I don't know why it was so embarrassing but I felt totally dumb because it just so happened to be the shirt I was talking about and it just looked bad!! I am so glad I have people to help me out when my mind is going crazy and I am crazy and I do so many things that just keep us all laughing!! Thanks Britto for all the constant sound advice you always send my way!! your the best!!
The First of Three!!
Yesterday we got to go see our little niece and Alis really close cousin Kate get baptized. It was a neat experience for many reasons, but mostly because Ali will be the next to get baptized and it was fun to see her figure out what the whole thing is about. Kate is an amazing little 8 year old who is strong willed, intelligent, optimistic, and wants to do what is right. So when she told her mom that she wanted to get baptized because that is what Jesus did, it was fun to see it all come to a reality. Her mom, my sister, isn't exactly what we would call an "active MEMBER". She really was having a hard time with this decision until Kate told her why she wanted to get baptized, so it was that much sweeter to see her choose to be baptized.
As Kate came out of the water she threw her arms up into the air and was so excited, it was fun to see!! I am so glad Ali has so many great examples around her to help her choose the right and try to be like Jesus! Ali will be the next and on the same Day her other cousin Madison will also be baptized, it will be a great day!!
