He Eats ANYTHING!!

Cam is almost 9 months old, and he seriously eats ANYTHING in his path!
Even Ali!! The last two nights we officially were told by our d
octor that he should be sleepingthrough the night.
I hadn't even registered that I was way past letting him
getting away with waking up every 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours!!
Yes I havebeen waking up every 2-4 hours to feed him
and I have been spoiling him rotten.
I figured he is a big dude and needed some food.
- OOPS!
So yesterday Fro and I decided to make him sleep.
I hate this phase of parenthood.
But I do need my sleep.
So we layed him down around 9:00ish and let him cry.
He was fed and happy, and then........
Not so Happy for over an hour.
He kept crying and crying for an hour.
We would go in every 15-20 minutes and try and calm him down,
but he was ticked!!
Finally I gave in and went to feed him a little.
I felt bad because he had his shots
that morning, he has his burnt foot,
and he is teething, and I am just a sucker.
So finally he started to calm down.
I knew he wasn't hungry so I just let him cry longer.
And finally SILENCE.
I loved the Silence. And the best part was he only woke up one time,
cried for a bit, but then was out.
And last night went even better.
He cried for all of 15 minutes.
Slept until 4:00 am- that doesn't happen,
and then went right back to bed!!!!!
Yeah- What a good little boy!!!
Hopefully he will keep this up,
I am way better when I have my sleep.
We call this his time out pose!
He doesn't roll, doesn't scoot,
but when we put him on all fours he just sits there,
like he is in TIME OUT!
It is so funny.
The doctor told me not to worry, but enjoy this time that he can't
crawl away from me. So I am loving it!!

Valentines Cookies!

Since the doctor required Ali to stay indoors for the bad weather we decided what better activity than make Cookies!
And make a party out of it!
So We invited some cousins, and had a great time with the sugar cookies.
We frosted the heart shaped cookies,
and sprinkled them with lots of fun sprinkles.

They were delicious!!! So delicious

I loved that Noah put at least a good inch
of sprinkles on his and a whole heapof hot candies!
He loved it though!

8 doctors in four days!!

Our weekend has been a little chaotic, filled with A LOT of DOCTORS!!! It all started on Saturday. Fro had the day off so he decided to go skiing with his buddy Dave. It was his first time skiing, and I wished I could have gone to see him battle it out with the skis and poles, But unfortunately I ended up battleing it out with the nurses at our local pediatric office. It all started when Cam yanked my flat iron cord (it was set at a temp. of 366 degrees) onto his little baby foot. How did he get a steaming hot flat iron you ask-- I let him sit on the counter while I do my hair, and I always put the iron, and blow dryer in the other socket, but he managed to get a little grasp of it and pull it right onto his foot. The poor little guy got burnt in two areas on his foot. As he sat there screaming I couldn't see where it had landed until I noticed the fleshy skin hanging from his foot, and off of the flat iron--Yikes it was so sad. So the doctors office told me to run right over because they could be third degeree because it wasn't blistering, just really white and fleshy! So I head on over. As I pull up to the office which is only 5 minutes away there is only one car in the parking lot and it is a cleaning truck. Are you kidding me, they told me the wrong office--URGH- my screaming child in the back in tons of pain, and Ali sweetly singing twinkle twinkle little star trying to calm him down. So we continue to the other office that is 15 minutes away-- Yeah it was a very long car ride, and Yes I was speeding the entire way. To make matters worse, the receptionist sees him screaming in pain, and says, "We will work him in as quickly as we can." The worst part was there weren't any other patients in the waiting area, but as one came in they took them straight back!!!!!! That bugs!! 20 minutes later, and still screaming they take him to another room to wait an additional 25 minutes (still screaming, still open wound that is burnt) No hurry though!!! FInally the doctor comes in and covers his little wounds and tells me he has second degree burns and they should heal up fine as long as they didn't get any infection in there. I don't know what waiting an extra 45 minutes could do for infection in a doctors office, but luckily it made him feel much better--- As we sat there discussing it, we realized he is also getting is second tooth in and is feeling the pain from that too. Poor little guy!!!

So after going through that drama I sent a text up to fro on the ski slopes telling him it had been a day from "HELL" and I don't use that word often, but boy did I learn to bite my tongue because then...........................................................
Ali ENDED UP IN THE ER

That Night Fro and I went on a date night and came back to find Ali had a bit of a cough. Normal for our little Asthmatic child, but it was a pretty good little cough. So we gave her the usual breathing treatment and it usually takes care of it. Rough night--- She was up coughing all night and did multiple treatments to help. It wasn't helping. She was starting to have a really hard time breathing and her heart was really working. So what do you do on a sunday morning. Go to INSTACARE. To make a long story short, We saw two doctors at Instacare, they regulated her heart and oxygen levels and sent us home hoping she would get better. We watched her and things didn't improve. At 4:30 I took her back and they told me she wasn't safe to travel in a car and a ambulance would need to transport her to the hospital. Oh let the bills start pileing!!! So I told Ali to just enjoy this because hopefully it would be the only time her or I would go in an ambulance. I only had my cell phone camera but I got some great photos of her enjoying the stretcher and the whole ordeal!! It was pretty fun, and she was smiling for the first time all day!
So then we got admitted to the hospital .......
They found some PNEUMONIA in her lungs, and they were treating her for Asthma Exassperation with peumonia. So we were there from Sunday until Wednesday. Thank goodness for family and friends to help kill time. We kept asking Ali what she wanted and all she would say is, "VISITORS, I want lots of VISITORS "
So that is exactly what she got!

We got to ride in the WAGON a lot,
it was a little tricky with her IV pole and oxygen,
but we made it work. Cam loved it too!

We love cousins who came to play.....

And the best Pappa in town,
who almost got us kicked out for his craziness with the wheelchair.

And Uncle Mike who came two days in a row to help brake up the day. He spent over two hours one day just playing with Ali and he even played with the little figurine people and used girl voices too! Thanks Mike!!

How lucky are WE!!

Cousin Kate and Aunt Heather came right after
returnig from St. George.

Our cute neighbors the Jones' came and Cadence
is in Alis' class at school. She made Ali the cutest
get well soon Card and cookies.

And we can't forget the three Amigos who helped kill
time by taking a wagon ride with us.

And last but not least, Uncle bud came and visited too!
We were so glad so many people care about our little
Ali, she continued talking about what a great time she
had because of all the VISITORS~! Thanks EVERYONE!

In order to leave the nurses had to take Alis IV out and
they had to rip the tape off of her arms. She cried and
screamed for awhile after that. It really ruined her day.
She was still crying when we got home and I layed down by her
and asked what was wrong. She told me that it was "just the worst day ever"
I am pretty sure it was because there were NO visitors at home!!

The Race is On!

Cam was born in May, and little Jamison was born 2 months later. Cam has what we like to call a weight condition- He has plenty of it!!! He doesn't like to be on his belly. Jamison came over the other day and was rolling all over the place. We figured it would be inspiration for Cam. It worked temporarily, but the kid is so content in one place. He had no desire to work for movement-It is great for me, then he is always where I put him. But as he watches his little cousins, I think he may try to start getting mobile too!
So lets see who makes that first step towards motion!!
I think Jamison is smart for rolling, Cam looks like he might slug him in the face.

Going Back in Time!

Yesterday I had to greatest opportunity to go back and re-live the 9th grade!!
I know that for many people if you had to re-live an age it wouldn't be the 9th grade,
but that is when I had braces the first time around.
Before
And Now I am back in the beautiful Metal brackets, painful gums,
sensitive teeth, awesome braces stage!!
After
Lucky for me you can't see the top too bad, but the bottom are metal and very crooked. So they are UGLY!!! - I am not kidding!! Ali has been all to helpful at helping me feel better about the whole turning 30 and having braces idea. She said," Don't worry mom, if people make fun of you I still think your cute." And everytime I do something she says," Mom look you can even cook with braces on!" and my favorite is when I woke up this morning, she had to point out that they are still there. Cam just thinks they are jewlery and he tries to pull them off all day long- Awesome!! I just have to remember it will all be worth it!

Ice Skating

My dad is the bishop of the singles ward in his area and they were all going ice skating as an activity and my dad thought it would be fun to have the grandkids around to meet some of them. So me and my sisters packed up the kids and headed down to Seven Peaks. Ali has gone ice skating two times before and loved it, so she was really excited.
Fro was such a trooper holding onto her for dear life as she tried to pull
him around the rink. It seriously is a killer on the back-
Thanks Babe!

My dad helped out my sister by taking one of her boys, and he put him on a cone and sent him spinning on the ice. The funniest part was he kept handing them off to some of the singles and my sister was going crazy trying to figure out where her boys were and who had them, and if they were okay- It was pretty crazy.

The best part of the night by far was when me and my sister had to feed our babies. There was no where to do it to inconspicuously so we went up top to some bleachers and put on our "Hooter Hiders"- that is what they are called, and we were just hanging out feeding them up on the second floor. Well a couple of single guys came up to look out over the rink, and they looked over at us and all of a sudden didn't know where to look as they realized we were nursing our babies- and it was suddenly super awkward for them and they didn't know how to get around us, or where to look, and me and my sister just started laughing at how hilarious it was- Good Times B- Good times- We have to laugh at life right???? There is nothing more attractive to a single guy than 2 women nursing their babies- Right!!!!-- It was AWESOME

Plenty of Snow in Lehi

We have had a lot of snow hit us in Lehi this year!
One of Alis' favorite things to do is help her dad shovel it all.
Luckily we have a mini shovel she can use to help.
Remember the days when It came up past your waist?
Okay who am I fooling-
It still comes up to my waist.
Just lovin all this Snow!

No Dairy till their 1- Is that a RULE!

So the other night we were having a family treat of Ice cream, and Cam being part of the family didn't like that he didn't get in on that action. So being the weak mom I am gave in and let him have a lick of my ice cream cone. I know the doctors say no dairy until they are one, but REALLY! So I let him lick the cone and then threw it into the garbage and turned around to see Cam super delighted by the treat, but also starting to swell up all over his face. I kept thinking it was just a rough patch of skin, and then it was EVERYWHERE. It kept getting worse, and I decided to let benadryl intervene. He had hives all over his face, and it was red and swollen all down his neck. Yikes- that is exactly what Ali did with peanuts!!! Lets just hope this isn't a milk allergy, I don't need another allergy to freak me out!!! You can't tell as well in the pictures because my camera battery was dead,
so these were taken a good 20-25 minutes after the benadryl kicked in.
Poor little buzz-a-boo!

CHRISTMAS

We Love Christmas at our House!!!
Every year we have a game we play to open up the presents and
this year was a Alphabet game that Santa Made for us to play.
It was a lot of fun, and Ali got to show off her Alphabet knowledge to us!
What a great Age for Christmas!!
Look at Ali-
She couldn't believe Santa ate all the cookies,
and tookall the Carrots for the reindeer!

It is so Magical!!!

Ali really wanted a pet you have to fix with
the doctor set if it gets hurt. Luckily Santa brought
one. She was So excited.
Cam didn't know what to be excited about.
The wrapping paper, or Ali getting
overly excited for him.

But the best Suprise of the day, was the BMX bike
that I TOTALLY suprised Fro with. He had NO
idea and I had to hide it somewhere he wouldn't look.
It was the greatest suprise ever.
Every year Fro says I out do him, and he was pretty convinced he
did it this year- which I did get spoiled- but I believe
I came out on top again!!!
