Fun in the sun!

So far this summer, we have had fun, fun,
and more fun in the Sun!!
We have had pool parties at our house.
We've gone swimming with friends
and the cast on Cam hasn't even slowed him down!
He is lovin' summer!
We got to go swimming on Saturday with our friends
the Bramhalls, and Dave went swimming even
though he just blew out his eardrum and can't
hear out of the right side!!
What a sport. Taylor played with us too while
Tracie sat out with the twins,
sorry I don't know how I missed a photo op of the
cute twins. Thanks guys it was fun!

Then for memory sake of growing up,
Lindsay reminded me that my mom
used to fill up balloon with water and we would
bounce on the tramp with them,
so Lindsay we did it, and it was tons of fun!!
It is a frequent request at our house!

My sis BJ and her boys came over for a sprinkler
and pool day, that is always fun!

One of Cams favorite new things to do is chase
the sprinkler around the tramp.
He had a great time doing it,
He didn't love the little pool,
but he LOVED the
sprinkler on the tramp.

And one of the highlights of the week was Lindsays little girl getting
totally stuck in the baby swing!! She is only two, but boy is she
a big girl!! All cuteness!!Brittany and Linds had to shimmy he out!!

My little Performers!

I love this picture of Ali and Madi!!
They posed for me before they went off to do
their big Theater performance up at the Uof U dance Center.
This Last year Ali was in Ballet, but didn't like it because
they stretched her legs and she didn't like that.
So we decided to let her try their theater program.
A little song a little dance, her cousins- we thought
what the heck- so here is the end results!!
Me and Ali after her performance of
"JUNE IS BUSTING OUT!"

The outfits were darling. Madi has on her flower fairy outfit for
the ballet number, and Ali is wearing the June
outfit for the theater number!

Ali and Madi in the dressing rooms before the performance.
The girls had to leave around 2:00 on Wednesday to run
through the performance 2 times, and the performance
wasn't until 7:00!!! Yeah it was a long day for these girls, but
they were all smiles when we showed up!! They did such
a great job! We were laughing our heads off in the audience
because they were so hilarious to watch- It was priceless!!

Wedenesdays whats on my mind!

For anyone who doesn't know, I have decided to make Wednesdays my day to blog my mind.
I don't want my history to be all Ali and Cam, so I am adding a little insight to ME!!
Every Wednesday!!
So this last week I have had a few instances when I have LOVED realizing that I will never truly know the ones I love the most!! At first it made me think I didn't know enough about the people I care the most about, but then I realized it is LIFE, and Life is ever changeing. I had a girls night with my sisters and my mom last week and my sister Heather and I were talking to my mom asking her some basic questions and I found a whole new side to my mom I never knew. I always thought she grew up in the world of brothers and hand me downs only to realize she has a SHOE fasination that her and her mom shared!! They would go out and buy 10-12 pairs of shoes at a time!! Who does that especially back then!! I had no idea about my mom and my grandmas love for shoes. She sat explaining her favorite pair, and I loved pictureing my mom and grandma trying on shoes.
Then a couple of days ago I sat with my 6 best friends that I have grown up with since the 4th grade, and we of course reminisced all of our favorite memories only to find out there are chapters to all of us that we all don't know about. I loved hearing my best friend Lindsay and SJR went skinny dipping in the Sea of Gallilee!! Who ever knew!! I have known them almost my whole life and still continue to find new depths to them!! I think Sarahs husband was even more shocked than I was to find that out!!
I have great love knowing I do know many little intimate things about the people I love, and I love knowing they know all the dirt on me! I realize though that I don't know the simple things to all of them. Their favorite candy, their favorite movies, their favorite music, the other stuff! So that is my newest goal!! To really truly, deeply know the ones I love!!
So for anyone reading this and to my kiddos, I will tell you my littlest things about me and see if you knew!!
I love Junior mints, I have a box a day- seriously I should own stock in them!
I read a book almost weekly - my favorite are mysteries
I think that my taste in music is ever changing- I hear the most of High School Musical
purely for Ali, but I love chillin music- nothing that screams at me!
I wish I was actually good at the things I love doing- tennis, biking, violin, but I keep trying!!
I am happiest when I have food in my stomach- if I don't eat- watch out!!
I don't like driving slow- it drives me crazy
I bruise really easily- and Fro says I am a bananna
My favorite food is probably anything Mexican- and I eat at Cafe Rio every weekend!
and of course-- I still want to swim with dolphins!!

The Cast!

I had to put a few pictures of the cast that Cam g
t today because it is so cute!
It never makes you feel good when the doctor
and nurses kept pointing out
how tiny it is and that they never get to do
casts that small!! AWESOME!
It is the biggest weapon they could have given him.
He already has a hard punch, but now we are really
going to have to look out!!
He has to wear it for a month,
but the good news is they are now
WATERPROOF!!
that is a major plus!!

Nothing keeps him down!

On Tuesday Cam had a little "fall" as I will call it. He was obviously not being
watched as closely as he needed to be and the split second I turned around, he made a dive out of his HIGHCHAIR! I turned just in time to see his body blurr to the ground. I quickly ran over to him and could NOT tell where he hit, or what he hit, or if any damage was done. I noticed one huge mark down the side of his face, and teeth marks in two of his fingers, but that was it. He was crying and crying and I decided to take him and put him in the bath because he usually calms down in the bath. As I started to take his pants off I noticed the site where he had his immunization the day before was TOTALLY swollen and looked like elephantitis- not kidding!!
It was so swollen and his muscle was so tight. I figured that was why the poor little guy was so ticked off. He didn't seem to enjoy the bath so I took him out. After much effort to sooth him I finally got him to sleep. I was so worried about his leg and figured out that he was just having a LOT of pain from his shot.
As the day progressed I noticed he wasn't crawling at all. I felt so bad to think his little leg was hurting him so bad. I kept a good eye on it and it seemed to be getting better- RELIEF!!
He still wouldn't crawl and he was still really whiney and kept falling over. I even joked with one of my friends that it was because of his big head that he kept falling over. (The doctor just re-affirmed that his head is pretty impressive- still in the 90th percentile with a 50% body!! you got to love it!!)
So here is my little guy struggling all day and I was concerned maybe his leg got injured in the fall. When Fro got home I was hurrying to get to mutual and mentioned that he fell and could have hurt his LEG in the fall. He looked at Cam (who for he first time was attempting to crawl) and said, "Um Kris, I am pretty sure he probably hurt his arm." I looked over to see him trying to crawl with one Arm~!!!! I hadn't even noticed his arm!!!

Need less to say, He BROKE 2 bones in his ARM
and Not his LEG!!!
I am an awesome mom, and felt even better explaining
the situation a day latterand hadn't even realized he
wouldn't use his arm!!!
His reaction once I finally realized the poor guy really was in pain!
Alis' response was," Poor Cam, but now we can park Handicap!!"

Wedenesdays whats on my mind!

I've decided that I needed to branch away from the usuall- Ali and Cam blog. Although they are
pretty much the greatest parts of my life, I have come to realize there is a lot of my life that isn't documented! so I am going to dedicate Wednesdays to my own blog of "Whats on MY mind!"
So here goes...................................
At church I am a Miamaid Advisor in Young Womens and continually find myself laughing, learning, and loving all the girls. I think the greatest part about the Young Women is I see myself in different parts of each of them. I have two young women who are just graduating and I keep thinking to myself-- they have this brand new adventure ahead of them, and I wonder where they will end up. I have come to truly love these girls and it will be really hard to say goodbye, but a huge part of me just anticipates where their life is going to go. I just take a big breath and have faith knowing Heavenly Father has a plan.
Which makes me think--is this what he has planned for me? Does anyone else ever wonder - Am I doing what I am supposed to be doing?? Living the life I am supposed to live?? Doing all that I am supposed to do???
I think I might really be reflecting on my life because in 2 months I turn 30, and I keep thinking-- THAT IS HUGE!! this is a huge turning point in my life. Then I step back and say- or it is just another birthday, that you adventure out of your 20's. I think I just never wanted to leave my twenties, or I just never wanted to leave my teens for that matter!
I think life has so much that changes daily, I am just glad I do have my staples: My family( all inclusive, my husband, Ali and Cam, my sisters who I can't live without, and throw my brothers in there too- and don't forget Sunny and Pappa ), my friends that I have had since the fourth grade (you know who you are- that in itself has been a huge blessing in my life) ,and all the people I met after the fourth grade, and my knowledge of the gospel. All of which over the last 30 years have made me who I am.
So looking ahead I am excited for whatever comes, and it is up to me to make the adventures I am going to have. Like weekly adventures to Target and Walmart!! Or my newest adventures of helping Cam learn to walk, and descipher what it is he is pointing at!
Mother hood is one of the greatest adventures that we are offered and I am truly trying not to miss any moments of it. I know from the first go around with Ali that time flies, and I can't slow down life. So I have to enjoy the ride even if I am going to be 30, and I haven't swam with dolphins yet!

My little Grad!

Ali has officially graduated!!
She is now done with Kindergarten.
I didn't think this would come so soon.
I can't believe I have a almost 6 year old.
She had such a fun teacher- Mrs. Taylor- and
she had so many of our cute neighbors in her class.
Two of her boy friends- that is friends that are just boys
Damon and Kelton

Ali really liked her teacher. She really took
time to make Ali feel so much love. Ali
had to stay in from recess a lot during the year
mainly in the winter because of her breathing problems
and I found out Mrs. Taylor would put Ali in charge of
the naughty kids. She would have Ali help the other kids
finish their work if they didn't finish it. It was always funny
to hear what Ali was put in charge of becaue she was one of
the "GOOD kids." I am glad she was a good girl.

At her school they did a little graduation program, where
all of the kids sang some songs, and poems, and every
kindergartner got to walk up and receive a diploma. It
was so funny. And they were all so cute!
Look at how reverent she was sitting! Hilarious!!
