A few random Pictures!

One of my favorite things about Ali is she has a great sense of humor. Not many people get to experience this, but it is one of my favorite things. She loves getting people laughing at her, and I am no exception. She is always dressing up in some crazy outfit trying to use a crazy accent. I love her!!

I walked in on Cam the other day sleeping and realized for the first time that he is indeed BIG!! He will be 2 on Sunday and I am always amazed at all he does. He talkes and mimicks almost everything we say. He talked to me on the phone for the first time yesterday. He usually just listens, but yesterday was the breakthrough. He told me what he was doing and then said, "see ya sucker!!" It was really cute. Today we were playing hide and go seek and he was counting. He said, "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,10,13 here come!! I could hear his little foot steps and then he would stop and say HMMMMM, HMMMMMMM- just like me and Ali do. Then he would say Beep Beep. That is when he can't find us and we say beep beep back. It is so cute!!

Ali wanted a picture of her LONG hair before she cut it. So this was the one I chose because Cam went and stood right next to her to show off his "TRUCK" shirt. He is getting really picky about which clothes he will wear. They have to have some sort of CAR on them. I have now realized that the clothing companies are Not as lame as i thougth. It used to drive me crazy that all boy stuff had cars or trucks, and now I am a little glad about that!!

these two are by far two of my most favorite people in the world. I am loving all the time I get with them. They both egg each other on and try to make each other laugh. Cam is usually trying to do everything Ali does, and finally Ali decided she is going to try and be like Cam- hence the bottle!! I am so glad I have them, and that they have each other!!

My Babysitter

Ali is at the stage where she wants me to leave her home to babysit Cam. It is so cute because she is constantly telling me she can watch him. She loves helping him do things and loves playing with him. The other day Cam was still sleeping and we had spent a lot of the day outside at Thanksgiving Point Gardens so I didn't want to wake Cam up. I needed to run some food over to my neighbor and was going in to grab Cam when Ali said, "Mom please let me babysit him, just while your dropping off the food. I will Lock all the doors and I will not open them for anyone." I decided it would be okay since it would take only 15 minutes. I gave her my cell number and left. I knew she would be fine and I knew she would be so happy finally getting her few minutes to be the "big babysitter".
Well after I dropped off the food and came inside the house was so quiet. I looked all around thinking the two of them were hiding from me. But I guess the long day playing outside took its toll on Ali too!!

She was wiped out and still holding her crayon in her hand as she was Out cold. It was about a 1/2 hour later that Cam woke up and it was so cute to see her jump off her bed and resume her "Babysitting" responsibilities!!

swimsuits, then coats, then swimsuits

This week FINALLY started out with some NICE weather for us. So I decided it was pool time again. So I got the pool all ready and had some of the cousins come over and enjoy a nice day outside. The water was a little icy, but that didn't stop the kids from having some fun.

Of course when Ali got home from school and saw the pool it was NOT fair that we play outside all day while she sits BORED at school ALL DAY, so we spent another couple hours playing outside on the tramp with sprinklers and sliding into the pool which by 4:00 was finally nice and WARM!!

It was so much fun to finally get to be outside enjoying the Sun. It made me so anxious for summer. Summer just brings a totall RELAXING element to life. We could have stayed outside all day and it would have been heaven. My kids sleep better after playing all day and so do I.

Of course here in Utah a good thing can't always last- by the Next morining what did I see outside-- SNOW!!! Yes we went from 77 degree weather to SNOW overnight. Only in Utah!!

Working with MOM!

I just had to write a blog so I could always remember the craziness I sometimes put myslef through as a Mom. I work part time and I can't complain the least bit, because my work is so great to be so flexible with me. On days that we don't see patients I am allowed to bring my kids in if I need to. It happens to be one of Alis' highlights, but I usually go in the mornings and so now she doesn't come that often, but Cam does. Cam is a little harder to keep under control than Ali, but I must say they are always troopers for doing it!! This last week when I went to work I had to get a few pictures to display what it takes to keep them occupied for a couple of hours.
Cam is LOVING his chocolate pudding while sitting on my desk. It kept him entertained longer than anything I have come across thus far. Though I had to keep baby wiping his hands so nothing else got as chocolatey as he did!!

When the kids come to work they get free reign of the movie selection and can watch what they want. We have office chairs that Ali loves to move togeather to make a fort. So between the cool office chairs they love moving up and down, to the elevators and other offices with FISH tanks- I am suprised I get as much done as I do!! But luckily they do it and are great sports about it!! Thanks guys!!

Spring Break in St. George

Posted by Picasa

This Year we headed to sunny St. George for some fun in the sun. I love St. George for Many reasons but mainly because it is fun for everyone, and my WHOLE family gets to come. This year we had a lot of fun and LOVED finally having some sun.
We had fun biking ( my first time back on my bike since i hurt my back- it was heavenly), swimming, shopping, playing at the water area, and the playgrounds. The weekend went by way to fast. We all went on one big bike ride with all the kids on Saturday and rode along a path to our favorite park. It was tons of fun and the kids did awesome!!

We went to a little water area in St. George that the kids loved playing in. The girls went shopping and then planned on meeting the husbands with the kids for lunch. The one bad thing was Ali forgot her swimsuit!! I told her to pick one, and she didn't and then the result was- running through water in her clothes!! I bet her $5 if she would run straight into the main water fall, and she did it= no hesitation. It was so cute!! The picture with my mom and Dad and the Harmonicas-- that is just them!! they wanted to learn to play so they went out and bought some. I got to stay in thier condo and listen to them "practice". I think Cam ended up loving the harmonica more than they did!! We had such a great time, and look forward to the FALL!!

Spring Break Bowling

To kick off Spring Break for the kids we decided to go do a little Bowling!! I was very nervous about taking Cam because he is a little RUNNER!! I bit the bullet and we all went to have some fun with the cousins. Everyone bowled awesome. We only had Cam drop two balls before his aunt Brooke gave him a good "NO Cam" and he was brought to tears. It actually was great because he mellowed out a little bit. He ended up driving his little cars all over the lane next to us, it was so funny. Ali was quite the bowler and bowled a 135 and beat all of us. She kept getting spares and saying, "Am I winning?" and Aunt Heather just kept reminding her that we are all winners!! Don't worry after it was all done, I let her know she kicked our butts!! It was awesome to see her get so excited at doing something so good! My cute niece Christian loves dressing up and of course had to wear her minnie mouse outfit. She is a little darling- love her!! We had a great time and all the kids had a ton of fun!

Who not to give your garage code to!

this last weekend we left for St. George for a sunny weekend of fun. Fro and I worked very hard to have the house clean and perfect for when we got home. I love coming home to a clean house after vacation- there is just something I love about order after having a fun and exhausting weekend.
We had a great trip, which I will post pictures of, but what i really wanted to mention was my sweet little welcome home present I got. I give my garage code to people at various times for various reasons, and this time It bit me in the butt!!
I drove up to our garage with a our lawn chairs sitting out and a WELCOME HOME sign sitting on a makeshift table (bucket). I thought maybe my neighbor Marcy had come by to use our tramp and left us a note! How sweet. But NO!! As I walked inside my house, every cupboard was opened, every drawer wide open, every Picture frame in the ENTIRE house was upside down, (and if you have been in my house that is a lot of frames!). Our water was turned off in the toilets and all the light bulbs in our basement were taken out. We have a huge Ikea bin downstairs with 12-14 bins and they were stacked all over the basement with every movie we own staked on top of them. Alis' room was ransaked and stuff was EVERYWHERe. At that point I knew it wasn't just anyone, it was my brother in law (the prankster JON, and my sister Heather and Kate). They didn't come with us to St. George at the last minute and decided to spend their time torturing all of our houses. My sister Britt got the worst of it, she had a hidden poopy diaper left in one of their drawers!! that is by far worse!! After cleaning it all up and finally unpacking we climbed into bed to find He had done his signature prank of SHort Sheeting our bed!! Very funny Jon and Heather-- we are changing our garage code and you better watch out!!

EaStER 2010

we love Easter at our house because there are so many fun things about Easter. Our favorite thing of course is playing with family, but the eggs, candy, suprises, and fun are all good things too!! This year we had a pretty chillin Easter. We had Kate and Heather over for some traditional dying of the eggs. The girls loved getting creative.

Luckily for us Cam had fallen asleep just in time for the dying part. Otherwise this experience would have probably been one messy story!! We love cam though, just not the amazing messes he can create, especially with dye!!

After we dyed eggs we got together for girls "conference night". While all the men go to the priesthood session we try to be a little creative with the girls. This year we made cute little sock bunnies!! The girls LOVED making them. We used kernal corn to fill the socks, and you can be rest assured that even though Britto and her boys weren't there- we still managed (CAM Managed) to make a big enough mess for everyone!!! (we missed you B).

Then Easter morning is always exciting, Ali kept saying she would sleep in, but before the clock even reached 7:15 Ali was in our room telling us there were trails of Candy and Eggs in our house. Of course we had to get up for that!! We are still working on teaching her to stay in bed until the clock says an 8- but we'll keep trying!! Easter is exciting!! this year she left a special note asking the Easter bunny his/her name. She wrote on a little paper NAME__________________. I asked fro what to do about that, and he said, "He is EASTER BUNNY!" I didn't know what I was expecting to hear, that his name should be BOB, but she was pretty excited when she saw the note with some special writing that read EASTERBUNNY
Every year the "Easter Bunny" seems to love movies because there is always one in each basket. This year was no exception. Ali had a Princess and the Frog themed basket with cute little frog eggs leading to her basket, and Cam is all about Cars. We hadn't bought cars for him yet and he got it with a few of his favorite Cars characters. He loved all the candy all about the house and all morning said, "More Candy!!" We decided that this year being Easter and Conference we would have everyone over for a mid-session lunch. It was a fun time. We played, had some food, talked about conference, and had a great Easter!!

Bring on the Treats!!

Being April 1st only means one thing at my house........the treat/dessert bet is over!!! Me and my cute neighbor Marcy started this one month ago and placed $50 on the table. Unbelievably neither one of us had to pay up. To make it a little funner I made a phone call this morning to her and it went like this....

(stolen from Marcys blog, because she so beautifully re-capped the whole conversation!)

Me:
"Congratulations! You made it! Now you can open all your jellybeans and chocolate eggs and everything you want! I'm going to do this for another month to see how far I can go, and Fro started his maple syrup and lemon juice cleanse today and I thought this would help support him. If you want to go double or nothing, give me a call."

9:40 a.m. this morning: Shocked, I call Kristin back. Converstaion goes something like this:

Kristin: [answers] "Hey!"
Me: "Are. You. Nuts?!"
Kristin: [laughing] I wanted to support Fro with what he's doing so I thought I'd do this until our [trip] next month. You wanna do it?"
Me: "I'm not gonna do it, but good luck with that."
Kristin: "April Fool's!"
Both: [laughter errupts]

I wanted to really get her, and I did!! As much fun as it was missing dessert for an entire month, I don't think I will do it again anytime soon. I explained to Marcy that I think I gained weight because I was trying to fill the "closure" void that dessert gives me. I don't eat a lot of dessert as it is, but I realized that when I do get stressed I crave a little bit of chocolate!!

I was feeling pretty excited about this change in events that I rode 8 miles on my bike then, did a turbo Jam weight session. Right when I got done I hear a knock on my door. I answer it (after peeking through the peep hole) wearing my spandex biking shorts, and guess who it was?? Marcy with her camera and a box with the logo DIPPIDEE!! I love DIPPIDEE, they make the yummiest cookies in the world- so my whole work out was in vain, but it sure welcomed the month in properly!! She is probably the only person I would let see me in my spandex, and of course she had her camera!! Luckily you can't see below my waist in her photo- thanks Marcy, and Ali loved her cute little sheep cookie too!!

Up Next..........Triathalon???????????
