My Hilarious Girl

The other day Ali and her cousins were playing and Ali decided that they were going to play house. She decided that she was going to be the dad and Madi would be the mom and Kate would be the daughter. My sister and I were talking in the basement when Ali announced to herself that "Here COMES FRO-the DAD". We looked over to see Ali walk in wearing Fros work shirt, BAGGY pants, skater shoes, a beanie and a whole new ATTITUDE. She came down saying things like Hey dudes, you wanna see my hot wife! She had us laughing so hard. She transformed herself into a whole differnt little lady. She had us all laughing so hard. She was playing her DAD to a T- it was so GREAT!

Madi came down in some of my clothes and Ali wrapped her arm around her and said, Hot lady huh! we were laughing forever!!

THe whole "FAMILY"!! - these girls are best buddies and so funny!
It was an experience me and Brooke will never forget, they were so great!!
Notice Alis' thumbs up in all of her pictures-She was workin it!

A day off from School!

We love days off from school, especially when it is snowing outside and we get to spend the day at Kangaroo zoo and with the cousins!

Ali was so cute with Cam. She was helping him on all the slides and making sure the bigger kids didn't nock him down. She is such a great big sister.

Me and Ali exhausted after running around and sliding on all the slides. I was actually exhausted from chasing Cam and trying to prevent him from running off with anyone other than me.

The three little girls- Kate, Madi and Ali

The love of Ali

I just got home from working and was giving a big hug to Ali when she held me even tighter and said," I want you to know I love you even when your not here." I said,"I was thinking the same thing when I was at work about how much I love you." then she held me tighter and said, "I will love you even when your not here and when your with Heavenly Father." I said, " Am I going to see Heavenly Father soon or something?" And she smiled and said, "Yes he loves you and misses you." Tears started welling in my eyes and I said," So am I going to see him soon?" and she said, "Yes, but I will Love you always." I instinctively said," will you take care of Dad and Cam if I were to leave and go to Heavenly Father and she simply said Yes and we will Love you."
I know children are always close to the veil, but little moments like this whether they are real or just something they say, it makes me stop and think about my life and my family. If something does happen to me soon, just know two things- Ali is really close to being psychic, or close to her Heavenly Father and secondly- I love so many people in my life and I couldn't imagine life without the Gospel!!

Girls Game Night!

There were many there, but only a few that were AWESOME enough to dress up like we were supposed too! Our friend Karen RUssell does a girls game night every month in our ward and this month she decided to switch it up a bit and have us dress up in 80's attire and play ROCKBAND!

I had no idea I had suck a ROCKER trying to get out! THere may have been a few embarrassing rock out moments, but I was trying to help liven up the crowd!!

I called my friend Meagan at 5:00 and told her we were supposed to dress up and this is what she arrived in!! She rocks!! We both raided our little girls clothes, and jewlery, and I think we looked pretty 80's and rockerish!!

My friends Dawn and Jana- Jana was totally bummed because she didn't know about the whole dress up part. She would have rocked it hard!!They did the greatest dance spin anyone has ever seen!!

Here is Jamie Benich, and her 80's dew!! She is a natural 80's nut!! She pegged her pants, had high "MOM" jeans and both of us even re-opened our second earring holes, and sported double earrings!! We are so wild!!
I had no idea that Karen was filming me singing and it is some what embarrasing. But I figure It will help get the rocker side of me out!! So if you want to see some seriously AWESOME dancing/singing go to www.pm1strs.blogspot.com

It's going to be a GREAT YEAR!

I can't think of anything (other than going on vacation) that would start my year off better than getting my braces off!! It has been almost one year to the day that I got braces, and boy was it a humbling experience!! I looked like I was 12 most of the year and this morning Ali said to me, "Now I won't have a mom that looks like a teenager!!" I find it a great compliment that many people thought I was one of my young women. Thought that I was still in highschool. Couldn't believe that I have 2 kids and have almost been married 10 years, but the best part of it all, is my teeth are straight again!! No more brace face comments, or metal mouth phrases- It is going to be a GREAT YEAR!!

The fortune Cookie!!

I have to share my latest, what kind of mom am I moment. Last week we went out to eat chinese food and of course we got fortune cookies. Ali opened hers first and it said, "something great will happen on tuesday!" She got so excited and couldn't wait the 5 or 6 days till it was Tuesday again. I opened mine and Fro opened his and they were the same things- so of course we tossed them! Well my sweet little Ali not only held onto her little fortune, but brought it out of her pocket daily to remind herself that something great will happen on tuesday. Everyday for those 5-6 days she carried her little fortune. I couldln't believe she still had it by the time monday came around. On monday she said, "Yes mom tomorrow is tuesday and something great is going to happen!!" That night I layed down next to fro and said, "so tomorrow is Tuesday and something great is going to happen- is this something I am supposed to intervene on?" His response was, " something great is going to happen and I hope you have something great planned." I don't know how much I slept because I was thinking of what I could take to her school to suprise her, or have a neighbor sneak a treat to our house , and on and on. The next morning I didn't say anything to remind her of this big day. After I dropped her off I called my sisters to get their info. My wise LITTLE sister just laughed her head off at me. She said that if I intervene I am just putting her little trust in Fortunes, and adding one more belief to the world of Fairies, and elves and everything else. Then she said what was most important- she said that Ali could find something that was great in her day, and if nothing great happened than i could do something with her to make it great and it wouldn't be mysterious or magical, it would be me making it happen!! She is so wise!!
So after fretting a little more on having a possible back up plan so my little girls hopes wouldn't be dashed I decided I would leave it up to her to find somethinG gREAT in her day.
After worrying way to much about it I went to pick her up from school. As she came running out I was praying that something great would have happened!! As she got to me she said, "Guess what the great thing that happened to me today was?" I said "What?" and she said, " I made a new friend today!!!"
It was the happiest moment of my whole day. I was laughing at myself and how much I didn't want her day to be bad, when all along it was Great with out me!!
