Splish Splash!

Ali had a dance festival for the last week of school.
Every grade comes out and performs a song and dance.
All the kindergartners performed Splish Splash.
All the kids were supposed to wear something
they would wear swimming. I told Ali
she needed to wear something she would swim in
she said, "I can't wear floaties because then they will
all know I can't swim. I have to wear something so they
will think I know how to swim good!"
They were so cute and hilarious to watch!(Ali is the third one over!- the one who boycotted arm floaties)
As Ali came out she was wearing her goggles and couldn't
see a thing. She was walking right behind the girl in front
of her and I could tell she was trying so hard to follow her.
I was yelling to her and she couldn't see me and kept
looking all over the place because I am sure it was
so foggy in those goggles. I was trying to tell her to pull
them down so she could see, but she couldn't figure
out where i was yelling from. It was hilarious!!
She did a great job and remembered all the steps!

Sundance

On memorial Day fro had his first downhill race of the season.
It was at Sundance which is one of my favorite races to go to
because it is so pretty. The weather was perfect!
My little kiddos were troopers out in the sun all day
supporting their dad on his race day!

My sister and her husband came to support fro,
along with his brother Mike and Nick.
We had a great time hanging out in between runs!

We teased Jamison that he looked like Will Smith in the
Fresh Prince of Bell Aire because of his hat. It was
pretty impressive how much of that theme song
me andmy sister remembered!
Fro ended up with a flat his first run, and he had a wreck his
second run. We were bummed because it was his first race he
hadn't placed in the top three. What a bummer.
but he did great anyway. Way to go Babe!

He makes his own rules!

This little innocent looking guy is playing by his own rules!!
When Ali was little I never had to worry about scissors,
crayons, markers, walls, toilets, poo, chapstick, or any other
house ruining items!!
Well Cam has truly proven to be all BOY!
This last week alone we have had a expereince
with all of the above.
The best part is he is proud of himself when he
does these little destructive things.
A couple days ago I had a proud mom moment
when he started drinking out of a cup all on his own.
He held it great and with two hands and then boom-
orange juice everywhere. So I took him in the bathroom
to get him clean. As I sat there watching him splashing in the tub,
i decided I might as well rinse off in the water too-
keep in mind I NEVER take baths with my kids
so this was out of the ordinary-
I was sticky, and decided to kill two birds with one stone.
So as i got in the bath water and watched
Cam play I saw him start to grunt his face.
NO WAY!!
He has NEVER pooped in the tub and neither had Ali.
But YES- He pushed and POP!!!
Out popped a bizzillion little "Nuggets" as Ali calls them.
He then began to LAUGH!
He knew exactly what he did!
I quickly jumped up out of the water
and trying to think fast ran to the kitchen to get a SPOON!
(yes that was the first thing I thought of!)
As I ran back to the bath I saw Cam sitting
there squishing some poo in between his fingers
NIGHTMARE!!
I not only ran both of us to the
other shower and sanitized us from head to toe,
I spooned out all the poo from the tub.
The best part of it all was it wasn't
even 8:00 in the morning!!
AWESOME!!

The Three Amigos!

This is a little tribute to the three little cousins,
who are missing each other A LOT!
Last week Kate moved away, and the day she was moving,
we had her over to play.I thought it would be a lot of fun
to suprise Ali, and pick her up from school with Kate.
She was so excited when she saw Kate that they
laughed and chased each other. Once I got them in the car I
made the mistake of saying, "Ali this is the last time we get to
play with Kate for a while, so lets go have some fun!"
Ali got really quite. The second we pulled up to the house
she jumped on her bike and rode off.
Kate felt a little sad that Ali didn't want to play with her.
When I finally got Ali to come inside, she burst out crying.
She just sat in my lap balling her eyes out.
I asked her what she was crying about and she said,
" I am going to miss Kate, she is one of my bestest friend cousins."
She cried for over a 1/2 hour and Kate just kept sayin,
"Oh I feel so bad for her." We ended up having a lot of fun,
but it was hard to watch Ali let it sink in that one of her
best friends would be going away for a long time!!
It was a very emotional and sad day for EVERYONE!!
I love that we have so many pictures of the three of them,
and they really are "best cousins"!!

Hello OREGON!!

My sister and her little family have officially begun their whirlwind adventure to OREGON!
She found out about 2 weeks ago that they would be moving. Not only did they sale thier house in ONE DAY, but everything fell into place a little to easily and quickly for it not to be meant to be. We have raised our kids togeather and it is seriously going to be a HUGE challenge for ALL of us. I know that because it all happened so fast, we are all in denial, especially the girls!!

Where Do I even begin as to how much I am going to miss my big sister!

My siblings minus my brother scott!
I LOVE my family, their are my best friends!!

These cousins have been doing everything togeather since day one,
and it is going to be SOOOO hard on them!
They have done pre-school, dance, gymnastics,
you name it, and they have done it together.
They are our "GIRLS" plus Noah in this picture!

One of our 3 going away parties for them!
We couldn't just let them leave, and we always can find a reason to Party!!

Posing for the camera with our soon to be sister in law
- Camille-
BUD is ENGAGED!

Space Day

In kindergarten the last two weeks of school the kids can dress up for all kinds of different days. Well Ali asked what day it was and I told her it was Space Day. She was a little upset that she didn't have any space clothes. So I quickly thought of what else she could wear and came up with putting star stickers on her face and making star sticker earings, and she LOVED it!!
She wore a shirt that had a couple of stars and she was so excited she had the perfect space attire. As I drove up to her school and looked in the back seat I saw her nervously looking out the window at all the other kids lineing up. She looked back at me with her cute star face and said, "Mom none of the other kids have stars on their faces." I told her that they probably forgot and they would be jealous of her great stars. She got this super nervous look on her face and she kept looking out the window very unsure of what to do. She said, "What if they all make fun of me because of my stars?" I asked her if she liked them and she said she did, and then I told her that is all that mattered and whatever the kids said didn't matter as long as she liked the way she looked. She took it in, but still was very apprehensive about the stars on her face. As we sat there another minute, she took a deep breath in and said, "OK I am going to try this!!"
It was so cute to watch her find her own self confidence. I hate thinking that she already has to worry what the other kids say. She is only 5!! I stayed and watched her approach the other kids walking REALLY slow. She hesitated a little, but lined up by the other kids. A part of me just wanted to stay with her and tell everyone how great she looked, but I knew she had to do it herself!!

She had a great Space Day! As I picked her up she was stickerless and I asked what happened, and she told me she took them off and put them in her back pack! Well at least she tried!! I love my little shy sweetness!!

Did that say 102.7

How do you know your baby is sick,
and you don't have a thermometer on hand?
One big indication is when they are taking
a bath and fall asleep in the tub.
Cam had been acting a little irritable
and felt hot so I gave him a bath, and
as he was in there he fell asleep.
I was able to get him out wrap him in a towel
and he still stayed completely out.
I noticed he was hot, but I didn't have a thermometer
so I had to borrow my neighbors.
After I checked it and read 102.7 I thought,
Oh poor guy!! He had a temperature for 2 days
and then it was gone. I love how cuddley kids are
when they are sick, but I don't love the tears....
I was convinced there was teething involved
due to all the drool, but I think it was just a crazy high temp.
Poor Cam. He was so sad.

Little Girls Night!

These cute little faces are the girls of this family!
(minus Christian, but she was sick!)
We decided since we had Kate for the night
to make it into a cousins Movie/Pizza party.
Kate will be moving this week and it is going
to be super hard for these cute cousins who have
grown up from day one together. She is moving
to Oregon and we decided to spend as much
time together while we can. So we ordered pizza,
got a movie, and decided to have a girls SALON!!
We decked the basement out with everything
from bows, to make-up, to pedicures galore!!
The girls loved it!! I was the salon owner and did all
their nails, and had such a great time!!

Marlen was my hair assistant and the girls loved it.
When they were done they said they all
looked like Polly Pockets!!
I think that is a good thing!

These girls have so much fun together, it is so hard
to think we have been so lucky to live right by each
other all these years, and now we won't.
We will miss them!

The Potato Bug WHISPERER!

So I have been trying to figure out if Ali is amazing,
or if all Potato bugs stand on their bums like
Ali was able to make it do.
She is fascinated by the little Rollie Pollies
and looks DAILY for more
to play with, and the other day she
came up with it balancing on her
thumb! Is that normal, or does she and the
potato bug have a gift???
I am amazed!!
I tried to get another guy to do it for me
and It didn't quite work out for either of us!

She is GIFTED!
And if anyone is wondering, It is alive!!!

Kareoke

My sister is moving and in trying to get rid of extra stuff
we inherited a new kareoke machine!!
One of mine and Alis' favorite things to do is dance
and sing around the house together, and this made for a even
funner time. Cam wanted to hold the mic so bad, and it was
hilarious to watch him realize he was hearing himself talk
into the mic. We couldn't get it away from him.
Thanks Heath for the many, many fun
singing times to come!!!

He is ONE!

He is officially ONE!
We can't believe that a year has
FLOWN by since Cam came into
our family. We have loved him
from day one, and just continue to
love him more and more!

Some of my favorite things about Cam right now are.....
*He still screams like a girl, and all the neighbors
know his LOUD scream
*He has a great laugh
*Ali loves that he is "Chubby"
*I love that ALi says "Little Buzza I love you more than mom and dad!"
*I love that he is trying to say things but it all
comes out as AWWWWWWEEE!
*He sees Ali and says AAAAWWWEEEE and
I know what he is saying
*He says Mom and UH OH
*He loves balls and cars
*He loves the bath and kicks his legs if I say TUB!
*He is SOOOOO ticklish
*He has the greatest eyes
*he puts everything in his mouth and if I say Cam he shakes his head
*He dances to music
*He lays his head down anywhere to have a little rest.
We think it is because it is so big!
*He is the best cuddler, and would do it all day
if I had nothing else to do!
And just purely for memory sake, One thing I am really NOT liking right now, is that he is one, and still NOT sleeping well at all. For the LOVE!! He doesn't nap well, and he will cry and cry and cry and not give in until I have no more energy to hear him screaming! THis is only a phase, I am praying!! He used to sleep wonderful, but then something changed that!! I hate TEETHING!!

To celebrate the big first b-day we had a party with all the cousins.
We had food and cupcakes and just had tons of fun playing

All the cousins came to celebrate the big 1!!!

He didn't know what to think about all the attention
let alone all the gifts! What is this he wonders??

We had balloon cupcakes and trucks
to help celebrate. We had a lot of good food,
and it was a lot of fun!

He was spoiled by all the gifts that
Ali opened for him!
This is the before the Cupcake picture.........

Here is the after!
It was his first cupcake, it was
chocolate, and he LOVED it!
