Oh the Sunshine!!

When you spend most of the day trapped inside due to sickness, it is such a relief to get to enjoy a little sunshine! I have LOVED this slightly warmer weather. Ali has been begging to go outside and ride her bike. She isn't allowed to go to recess everyday because of air quality and condition, and she can't wait for the weather men to give her a green light on weather quality. So since there is plenty of green lights we took full advantage of being outside! Cam is so excited to be done with his breathing treatments too! He loved being outside again.
Her first request was to ride over to Thanksgiving Point and ride "HER RAMP." Fro taught her how to speed down this ramp and skid. She loves leaving her mark!

Alis' RAmp- She sings a little song as she speeds down it- it is so funny!

She had to show off her long skid marks. She wanted to make sure her dad knew she still has it in her after the entire winter. It is hard to see because of the railing reflection, but they were really good.

Is Santa in the Articles of Faith???

My mom has a little competition going with all the grandkids to see who can memorize thier articles of faith. She has a kids treasure chest that they all get to pick prizes out of and it is great motivation for our kids to do things they don't normally do. Well Ali saw a headband that she just had to have and told me about it. I told her if she memorized her Article of Faith then she probably could get it. So on our drive to her house we decided to learn the first article of faith. As she is repeating it over and over again, I asked her if she new what it meant. Her response was," It means that if we didn't believe in Santa or Jesus that we didn't believe in God, and we are one of the bad people." I thought well that is pretty funny. So I further explained the meaning of it, then asked her if she knew what the Holy Ghost is, and her response, "Santa!!!" I think she really wanted Santa to be a part of the Articles of Faith!! She is so funny!

RSV, Bronchiolitis, and Asthma!

We are LOVING winter at our house this year!!!
Only 2 weeks after leaving the hospital with Ali, Cam now has RSV which developed into bronchiolitis just three days after already being at the doctors office. I told the doctors office I wanted a punch pass for all the visits I keep having to make there. I took him in on Friday with croup and they gave him a shot to help. Well things didn't get better and I took him back in a few days later and this-- another set of breathing treatment equipment and medication for him! You gotta love this time of year!!
If We just up and move to sunny California, or Arizona,
don't blame us!!!

Look at our little guy!

Ali was so excited that now someone else gets
to do the same breathing treatments a few times a day with her!

Yeah for us!!!
I just keep saying, It could be worse,

aren't we lucky it is only a few months of the year!

Living the Dream!

The other night Ali was planning out our activities for the following day, as she loves to do, and mentioned things she loves doing, and mentioned things that Fro likes- like biking-,then she stopped talking and said," Mom what are some things that you liked to do when you were little?" I thought for a second of things I LOVED doing besides barbies and remembered LOVING pretending to be a ice skater, or a gymnast in the olympics. I told her I used to go out on our trampoline when I was really little and I would put a jacket on and "PRACTICE" being a real ice skater or gymnast, and when it came time to perform, I would take off the jacket and that meant it was the real performance.
Well Ali loved the idea, and added that as her top "TO do" item of the day!
At 7:20ish in the morning she was up, and already to become a REAL ice skater. She got all dressed with the leotard, gloves, hat and of course slippers as ice skates and was ready to go. She told me that I needed to hurry and get in my outfit. Well I don't just have a cute ice skating outfit lying around. So I did the next best thing.................

Here is Ali performing her song. She lined up all her stuffed animals to be the judges and audience for our performance. She did real spins, and jumps- She was amazing!!
And this is solely for my sisters enjoyment and for Ali to always remember what I would do for her. I put on my best "ICE SKATING" outfit. My tankini top, a fat HOT PINK headband, my thermal tight leggings, and my black church slip--- I am hot, I know!! Before Ali saw me she said,"Make sure you look good mom!" No pressure. But as I came out with my attire on she said, "MOM you look BEAUTIFUL!!" You got to love kids!!

That picture was taken by Ali, Not the best angle,
but what do you do!! Notice the white gloves-
Ali says all Ice skaters have to wear gloves!!

What a Man!!!

This is where it all started!!!
Fro wanted to ride his BMX bike
so bad that he took it to my treadmill!!
Which lead him here........
To the RAD canyon BMX indoor RACE!!
He is SO great. One of the greatest things
I love about Fro is when he wants something,
He gets it. I can't think of anything he
has wanted to do/try/accomplish
that he hasn't just gone out and done!
He decided that he wanted to ride bikes
in the winter and mentioned BMX.
So I got him a bike for Christmas,
and the next thing I knew,
he was practicing riding it on the treadmill.
It made me laugh my guts out,
but he was so determined to do it.
So last night we headed out to his
FIRST BMX race,
and also the first time riding a BMX bike!
(other than the treadmill)
Who can say at age 31 they just
decided to take up BMX and entered
a race without ever even riding.
That is what I love about him.
He has so much determination,
and confidence in himself- it is amazing!!

Look at him!
He went from awesome Downhill racer,
to totally different bike,
different style, different terrain,
and he did GREAT!

We can't forget the cheering squad
and support my family
brought to the race!

Checking out the dirt before the race-

My brother bud, wanted to show
off his mad BMX skills,
or maybe it was his
RED SHOES!

Poor little Cam wasn't feeling to hot,
and had been to the doctor earlier,
but we didn't want to miss
the first time race!
He was a little TRooper-
Thanks little Cam- a- Bam
Some of the best cheerers!
I was excited for my nephews
to come because
they had riders starting as young as THREE!
They were so cute and amazing
to see little riders out there doing their best
on bikes that were probably to big,
and helmets that were WAY to big for them-
It was so cute!

My sister and Baby Jamison,
cheering on Uncle Fro!

It ended up being a long night
with a lot of racing,
but everyone were troopers
and stayed to cheer fro
on to Win Second place-
Thanks GUYS!!

We got to bring home a

SECOND place trophy!!
How amazing is that,

Never ridden BMX,

and took Second!
Way to go Babe,

you are inspiration to me!

I love ya!

I SPY!!!

One of Alis' favorite things to do right now is play I SPY. She wants to play it all the time. She loves picking out anything and making us guess. The best part is when we can't guess on the first or second try she ends up telling us- She gets to excited. Well yesterday we went to get a few things at the store and Fro ran in as Ali , Cam and I waited in the car. I was just waiting for her to suggest playing I spy. And as usuall she didn't dissapoint. As we were playing guessing the usuall orange sign, or blue car, she stopped and started pointing out the people she saw going into the store. The best part was she kept pointing out hilarious things about the people. One guy was walking weird with a limp, one girl was on crutches, a small boy didn't have his coat on- OH NO! As I was laughing at all the things she was noticing she said, "I know lets play I spy the handicap!" She calls all handicap people, handicaps-- not to make fun in anyway, she just does. And right after she says that I was laughing and a man walked out of the store. The funniest thing was he didn't have any arms and Ali said, "OH MY GOSH, I SPY A MAN WITH NO ARMS!" I couldn't tell if she was more excited that she pointed one out, or that the man really had no arms- She hadn't ever seen that before. I couldn't help laughing, and she said It so loud I was pretty sure he may have heard us. It was by far the funniest I spy game yet!! And what are the chances that a man with NO arms would come out right then!!! Too funny!!

The Farm!

To break our daily winter routine,
we decided to go to Thanksgiving Point.
Ali loves the horses, and feeding the ducks!
Cams first Horse experience!!
I don't know what he was thinking!

My Little Cow-kids!!!

I gave Cam his first sucker. He LOVED it!
Not a suprise, but when I tried to take it from
him- His furry came out in full throttle.
He has the strongest grip for a 9 month old.
Already Lovin' the Sugar!! Bad MOM!!!

4 feet 11 1/2 inches!

I have almost been married now for 9 years, and yet I still manage to mind boggle my husband!! That is pretty good !!! Every Sunday for the last 9 years Fro looks at me in the mirror as I am standing next to him getting ready and says "Man you are so short!!!" I am pretty short at a whopping 4, 11 1/2 feet!! So as we sat eating at Texas Roadhouse on Saturday and one of the waitresses walked by he couldn't believe how short she was. Her head barely came up above the half wall. He just kept saying holy cow she is so short. Well as I stood to leave I saw her coming our direction and took off my boot that had a 3 inch heel on it. As I lowered down just as she passed me fro started laughing uncontrollably. I was almost the exact same height as she was- there was barely a 1/2 inch difference. He couldn't believe it!! What big shoes do for a person. We had a great laugh and I hope the waitress didn't think we were laughing at her, only that we were both little midgies!!! Short people ROCK!!!
